Various SMPS (Scintillation Mobility Spectrometer) devices serve as measurement systems for determining the particle size distributions of gas-borne particles. Each SMPS consists of a DMA (Differential Mobility Analyzer) and a counting unit, a CPC (Condensation Particle Counter).  The entire distribution can be measured in approximately 45 seconds; by activating a nano-enhancer, the measurement range can even extend down to 1 nm.
